Keith Records 2015.
Only Strangers have been on the UK melodic punk scene for over a decade. Formed in 2010, the band consists of Declan O'Reilly (guitar, vocals), Adam Gater (bass, vocals), Joe Hawthorne (guitar) and Paul Beard (drums). We've put out a couple of DIY EPs over the years, featured on a few compilations and released a split EP with Liverpool-based Pardon Us on Keith Records. We released our first full album in 2018 with Manchester-based Horn & Hoof Records.
We’ve been hanging out, playing Nintendo and listening to music together for over 25 years since high school. Members of the band used to play in Sense of Urgency (TNSrecords) as well as Blowback (Bare Necessities Records) and The Loaders. Only Strangers is a return to our roots, playing the kind of melodic punk rock we grew up listening to – with influences from bands like Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio, Iron Chic, Hot Water Music, Leatherface and Jawbreaker.
